Singer, Simisola Kosoko known popularly as Simi has narrated how she was almost denied entry into the passport office because of how she dressed.
The music diva narrated the experience in a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday.
Simi said a security guard at the passport office saw her and refused to grant her access to the facility on account of her dressing.
The singer said the man still refused even after she was told who she was.
She said it took the intervention of a highly-placed official in the passport office before she was allowed into the office.
Simi added that she also had to take off her nose ring and earring before she was granted access.
Simi said, “I went to the passport office to get my passport done and when I reached the gate, they said I should go back because I am indecently dressed.
“I look myself up to down, and asked can you see anything in my body that is indecent? He said he cannot see but I should go back and wear something more ‘down’.”
The mother of one added, “I had to take out my nosering, earring, and had to cover my chest with a little scarf. I was also asked to sing for them.”
