‘I Wanted Falz to Study Law’- Femi Falana

2 Min Read

It’s a common trend for sons to take after their father and in the case of the Falana family it’s not entirely different. Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz is indeed a lwayer just like his father, Legal luminary and human rights activist, Femi Falana (SAN), but he chose to go into music instead.

Falana Snr. has admitted that he wanted his son to go into the legal profession just as he had but is proud of the giant strides the young man has recorded in the entertainment industry.

Femi Falana said to his son ‘I’m delighted to watch you. I sent you to school to study law, and I thought you’ll be a fantastic lawyer. However, I have no regrets that you’re doing well for yourself. I’ve spent my life fighting the brutalisation of the military, and I’m glad that this video also has the same theme. I’ll consult with your mom tonight so we can chip in some support for you.’

This was at the premiere of Falz’s new music video, ‘Soldier,’ featuring female singer, Simi, and taking off his sophomore album, ‘Stories that Touch,’. The Legal Giant was delighted at the video and the themes it promotes and exposes.

The 14-minute video was styled almost like a short movie with a deep storyline and a proper central theme. It was directed by ace music video director, Clarence Peters, and features stars like Deyemi Okanlawon, Efa, among others.

The Album Stories that touch, came out late last year and has already received critical acclaim for the work put in to it.
