Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has expressed his desire to win more trophies at the club, though he says the past year, which saw them win the treble, was “incredible”.
The former Liverpool striker joined the Blaugrana in the 2014 summer transfer window could not make his debut in an official game for Barcelona until the October El Clasico game against Real Madrid as a result of a FIFA ban incurred for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in a game between Uruguay and Italy.
He however still managed to score 25 goals in 43 appearances for Barcelona, and he believes this year can only get better.
In an interview with Dairio Sport, he said “I never imagined I would win the treble in my first season at Barcelona.
“We had to jump over lots of obstacles to have such a stellar season, but it’s been an incredible year.
“It has not been easy. It’s difficult and complicated to win all three titles.”
Despite injury challenges to important players like Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, Suarez believes the team can repeat their success in the 2014/2015 season.
“This year, after the treble, we’re still demanding really high standards,” Suarez averred. “That’s normal, because we always want more, but to win [trophies] you have to overcome many different things.”
