Famous American actress Angelina Jolie has opened up about why she stopped singing. According to Jolie, she quit singing due to her ex-boyfriend’s harsh criticism of her voice.
In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jolie shared that her ex-partner’s unkind remarks about her singing led her to believe she couldn’t sing. Despite her background in theatre, the criticism had a significant mental impact on her, and she internalized his negative opinion.
“I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing. I’d been to theatre school, so it was weird that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion,” Jolie explained.
