Nollywood star, Adunni Ade, has revealed that her admiration for veteran actor Ramsey Nouah was the driving force behind her decision to relocate to Nigeria. In a recent episode of Hip TV’s programme Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Ade shared her journey from being a model in America to becoming a prominent figure in Nollywood.
Adunni Ade disclosed that she met Ramsey Nouah before moving to Nigeria and was inspired by his advice and encouragement. “He [Ramsey Nouah] was the one who gave me confirmation to move to Nigeria. I met him before I came to Nigeria and I told him what my goals and aspirations were. And he gave me a very good pep talk and I moved down,” she said.
Despite relocating in 2011, Ade did not get the opportunity to work with Nouah until recently. She recounted a memorable encounter at a film festival where she exchanged pleasantries with him. The following day, she received a call from a producer, Chris, who informed her that Ramsey Nouah had cast her in a project. “I had goosebumps. I was so happy to work with him on set. He is so different when he is working,” she added.
Adunni Ade has since featured in over 250 Nollywood movies in both English and Yoruba languages, establishing herself as a versatile and talented actress.
