Big Brother Naija sensation Opara Chinonso Ibinabo, famously known as Kim Oprah, has shared a glimpse into her challenging past, revealing her early struggles while growing up. The reality show star disclosed that during her university days, she and her sister engaged in selling recharge cards, pure water, and eggs to make ends meet.
Kim Oprah opened up about her humble beginnings in a recent interview with Taymesan on the Tea With Tay podcast, shedding light on the resilience she developed through overcoming adversity.
“After my dad’s death, my mother was in the military. So we had to move into the barracks in Abuja to help with accommodation. When I went to the University of Port Harcourt, my sister and I used to sell recharge cards, pure water, and eggs around our side because there was no nearby kiosk where you could buy those things, so we became the kiosk,” Kim Oprah revealed.
Expressing gratitude for the challenges she faced, Kim Oprah emphasized how those experiences shaped her character and resilience. She acknowledged the hardships of her past but expressed happiness at having navigated through them, as they contributed to making her the person she is today.
“I’m just happy that I went through it because it really shaped me and made me stronger. I know what the hustle is; I have seen suffering. So coming out on the other side and being this person is like I understand both worlds,” Kim Oprah reflected.
