A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has weighed in on the resignation of senator representing Kaduna Central, Sen. Shehu Sani, from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omokri, who was Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media, said that Sani was being punished for failing to follow Senate President Bukola Saraki and some other senators out of the party when he had the opportunity.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Omokri said that Sani allowed himself to be deceived by the promise of automatic ticket from the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
He said, “Poor Shehu Sani. When you should have honourably left with Bukola Saraki you allowed yourself be deceived by Oshiomhole’s empty promise of ‘automatic ticket’.
“Now that automatic ticket has become automatic trick, you now realise you were used and dumped.”

However, Sani also took to his Twitter handle to talk about his resignation from APC.
Sani, who is famed for using parables to speak on political issues, said, “I didn’t book the morning flight from Cairo just because others are booking; I didn’t book the afternoon flight from Alexandria; I didn’t book the evening flight from Luxor; I endured and book the night flight from Sham El Sheikh at my convenience.”
