They were said to be at Mrs. Ugbana’s shop located along St Peter’s junction, Okpuno Nnewichi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of the state when a high tension electric wire fell on the shop.

Mohammed disclosed that the Otolo Police Division got a report around 3:30 pm on Monday that two persons had been electrocuted at the shop.

He said policemen from the division mobilised to the scene and rushed the victims to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi for treatment but they were confirmed dead by a medical doctor on duty.
