Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state on Monday, February 17, presented 24 Jeeps to high court judges in the state.
El-Rufai said the gesture is in line with his administration’s efforts to improve the welfare of judicial workers in the state.
He, however, promised to extend similar gesture to other judges in the state just as he disclosed his plans to build estates for the senior legal experts.
El-Rufai added that his administration will provide more welfare-oriented schemes such as retirement housing plan for the judges.
He promised continuous support for the judiciary and urged the judges to continue to put on their best efforts.
The state’s chief judge, Mohammed Bello, commended the state government for the gesture which according to him was the first of its kind.
