Some hoodlums in Edo State attacked Seidu Oshiomhole, alongside 14 other individuals.
Seidu and other victims were said to have been holding a meeting in a hidden location when the hoodlums appeared at the location and began to assault them physically.
According to reports, their attackers were tasked by the state government with a view to halting whatever plans they had gathered to execute.
Recall that nine members of the State’s House of Assembly had connived to elect one Frank Okiye as its speaker stirring up negative reactions from residents and other government officials.
Other reports also revealed that the lingering crisis in the state is due to an alleged rift between Adams Oshiomhole – the former governor, and the current governor – Godwin Obaseki.
The lawmakers who were led by a former Deputy Speaker, Victor Edoror, have since filed reports at the State’s Police Headquarters.
The 15 lawmakers that were reported to have been attacked have however reported the case at the Police headquarters.
