Veteran Hong Kong actor, Simon Yam, was on Thursday, released from the hospital after being stabbed five days earlier at a promotional event in China.
Yam who played significant roles in movies like “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – Cradle of Life,” left the hospital in Hong Kong after been moved from China after an initial operation.
He underwent a surgical procedure in Hong Kong on his abdomen and right hand, according to Variety magazine.
“I hope to recover soon and resume film shooting, which I really enjoy and It will take a bit more time for my hand and nerves to recover,” he said.
The police said that the man who attacked Yam at the commercial event was a 53-year-old man with schizophrenia.
Yam said he had no interest in pursuing legal action against his attacker, who rushed into the stage and stabbed him at an event in Zhongshan, China. (NAN)
