An investigative reporter, Nicholas Ibekwe has said that he turned down a N50,000 bribe offered to journalists by embattled founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T. B Joshua.
Ibekwe said he has audio evidence of TB Joshua offering the mouth watering sum to reporters, and says he was the ONLY one present at the briefing that did not accept was social media commentators have dubbed “Holy Cash”.
In a series of tweets on his social media handle, @nicholasibekwe, the journalist stated his disdain for Governor Babatunde Fashola for what he termed as “pussyfooting” on the tragic events that has led to the death of over 80 people.
He tweeted, “I can no longer hide my disgust for Fashola. Fashola handling of the #Synagogue building collapse has utterly disgraceful.”
He further accused the Governor of sneaking out the back door after a closed doot meeting with the SCOAN founder in order to avoid addressing journalists.
