Officers of the Lagos State Police Command have nabbed the kingpin of an alleged gay group, alongside a teenager, who is believed to have been involved in homosexual acts with him.
Police stated that the 32 years who bears Prince Chinecherem, has been coordinating others in the illegal practice in Lekki area of Lagos State.
The commissioner of police equally reported that Chinecherem was in the habit of using teenage boys as sex workers in the axis after he must have had sex with them as well.
When medical tests were carried out on the two suspects, they tested positive to HIV and that implies that they must have infected their customers with the virus too.
The teenage boy confessed and gave names of two prominent male pastors and some other business owners whom he had had sex with, and the Police have begun to plot ways to have them arrested for having prohibited intercourse with a minor.
Chinecherem also confessed other names of his gang members after being questioned.
While explaining how the young boy and Chinecherem were caught, the commissioner narrated that the boy was accosted by neighbors who saw the boy leaving Chinecherem’s place hastily. A bag containing used condoms was retrieved from him, forcing him to confess that Chinecherem was his sex partner.
Edgal, the commissioner, explained, “The matter was immediately reported to the Police at Ejigbo and the said Prince Chinecherem was arrested for interrogation.
“After preliminary investigation, the matter was called for further enquiry by the Gender Section of the Command.
“Both the suspects and the survivor were taken for medical examination and the result revealed that the survivor has long been introduced to homosexual act. The worst is that both of them are infected with HIV virus which causes AIDS.”
Edgal subsequently stated the suspects would be prosecuted at the Sexual and Special Offenses Court in Ikeja, while the teenager had been scheduled to see a counselor that would help him manage his health condition.
