Nigerian youths demanding an end to police brutality Monday morning blocked the ever-busy Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State, causing a heavy traffic gridlock along the Ozumba Mbadiwe Road in Victoria Island linking to the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
The toll gate operated by the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) has been a focal point since the commencement of the renewed protests due to the calibre of persons that pass through the route.

Chanting anti-police brutality slogans, they called on the authorities to genuinely end the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a notorious police unit that has been “disbanded” several times in the past but continued to operate.
Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu announced the latest disbandment on Sunday.
Videos of the protest at Lekki Toll Gate show the protesters stand side by side to form a human chain across the road while chanting “End SARS now” repeatedly.
