Edo State Health Ministry has confirmed that one person has been confirmed dead in the state afterbeing diagnosed with LASSA Fever infection.
Doctors at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State are also battling to save another victim currently in admission.
State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Heregie Aihanuwa said five persons have been hospitalized because of LASSA Fever.
She said the state government has commenced statewide sensistisation.
She also explained that the dead patient refused to report the case early.
