He Looked too Clean- Murdered Alizee’s Father Doesn’t Think Killer Husband Is In Jail

2 Min Read

Peter Nielsen, the husband of murdered Nigerian singer Zainab Ali-Nielsen better known as Alizee, and also the prime suspect in the murder is for all intents and purposes in jail.

But Alizee’s father does not think so. According to the man, he suspects foul play as he gleaned from the man’s demeanour and appearance while in court, that he didn’t look dishevelled.

He compared Nielsen’s look to that of another Nigerian who was also arraigned before the magistrate but who looked considerably more scruffy and unkempt.

Recall that Nielsen was accused of murdering his wife Alizee and their four-year-old daughter in their Banana Island apartment.

No motive has been put forward yet.

According to the Punch, when Alizee’s father was interviewed, he said; “We were told he has been taken to Ikoyi Prison. But the last time we saw him in court, he did not look like someone who came from a prison. He looked very clean, wearing a white shirt and holding a bottle of water. A lot of people are saying the man is not in the prison. I was also told that he was taken to his house to collect some items. This doesn’t speak well about the country if some prisoners get preferential treatment because of their status.”

He also noted that the other Nigerian who was brought into court was handcuffed, but Nielsen was not. “I don’t understand why they put handcuffs on the Nigerian and they didn’t do that to the Dane. I am in Abuja right now, but I would come to Lagos for the second hearing.” he said
