The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has said that the late Biafran warlord, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, lived and died for his people.
Obi said this while paying tribute to the former Military Governor of the old Eastern Region on the occasion of his 89th post-humous birthday.
Born November 4, 1933, Ojukwu died on November 26, 2011, aged 78 in London, England.
“Happy 89th posthumous Birthday to our Dear Ikemba, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
“He lived and died for his people and humanity, God Almighty grant him eternal rest and bless his family always,” Obi wrote in a statement he personally signed.
