Director of New Media, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said that new Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) presidential campaign council, Akin Osuntokun, has joined the losing side.
National Chairman of LP, Julius Abure announced Osuntokun’s appointment after a strategic meeting of the party, which had Obi, members of the National Working Committee and several political candidates of the party in attendance on Tuesday.
His appointment followed the resignation of Dr Doyin Okupe as the LP presidential campaign DG.
Fani-Kayode was Minister of Aviation under the Olusegun Obasanjo administration under which Osuntokun served as Political Adviser to the president.

Reacting to the fresh appointment, Fani-Kayode congratulated Osuntokun but noted that he has joined the losing side.
“Congrats to my brother Bashorun Akin Osuntokun on his appointment as DG of the Obi/Dati PCC.
“I respect Akin & we have fought many battles shoulder to shoulder against our common foes for over 30 years.
“He has joined the losing side but he will be a formidable adversary.”
Fani-Kayode said he was looking forward to joining “issues, crossing swords and meeting my brother in the field of battle”.
However, he said that the LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed “have absolutely NO chance of winning this election even with a tough and courageous soul and brilliant mind like Akin leading their campaign”.
