A former cashier with Dana Airline in Lagos, Mrs Grace Oguche, recently approached an Agege Grade ‘A’ customary court, Lagos State, to seek for the dissolution of her seven-year-old marriage to her husband, Mr Maxwell Madu, over allegations that he was not performing well in bed and was jobless.
“Ever since we got married, I hardly enjoyed sex with my husband. He doesn’t perform well in bed. We were able to have the only child in the union through God’s grace.
“He also maltreats me and calls me a prostitute,” she said.
She further alleged that her husband failed in his responsibilities towards the family as she was the one taking care of the house.
“I want the court to dissolve the union because he did not satisfy me in bed, neither is he responsible at home.”
Maxwell, who denied the allegations, said “I agree with the dissolution of the union because due to my jobless state, my wife went to bed with another man.
“My wife is never satisfied with sex. She’s always complaining and threatening to seek sexual satisfaction elsewhere.
“I love my wife, but I do not understand why her attitude changed towards me.
“She flirts around and comes home late and at times, she doesn’t come home at all.
“I therefore want the marriage dissolved because she has started sleeping with another man,” he said.
The court president, Mr Emmanuel shokunle, told the couple to maintain peace and adjourned the case for further hearing.
