According to Daily star Sport, the former Tottenham, Portsmouth and QPR manager could be in line to take over the biggest job in Nigerian football in the next couple of days.
The Super Eagles have so far appointed Salisu Yusuf as interim manager to take over from Samson Siasia. He would take charge of two upcoming friendlies against Mali in Paris on May 27 and Luxembourg on June 1.
The veteran manager has been approached by the NFF and could well be Nigeria’s manager over the next few years.
Redknapp isn’t well versed in international management, but he’s no stranger to Nigerian footballers having managed Kanu Nwankwo and John Utaka at Portsmouth even winning the FA cup with them.
He also seems to have a liking for strong African players as they are a usual feature at clubs he’s managed.
