Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted Emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu Kajuru, two of his grandchildren and 11 other family members.
The victims, it was learnt, were abducted in a Sunday morning raid on the palace.
Confirming the abductions, the Editor of Taskira Hausa Newspaper, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar Kajuru, said, “They abducted the Emir and the Salama of Kajuru, Alh Abubakar Kajuru and his grandchildren. All in all 13 family members were abducted with the Emir.”
He said that the family was afraid that the Emir might not survive the ordeal on account of his age.

“He’s too old to undergo the rigours of trekking for hours,” the journalist said.
The second-class monarch, who is said to be 85 years old, was kidnapped barely 48 hours after he reportedly convened a security meeting over a plot to kidnap him.
A cabinet member that preferred anonymity said, “Just a day before the incident, the Emir summoned a security meeting about a potential ploy to kidnap him but, unfortunately, the security agents didn’t act on it.”
Neither the police nor the state government has released a statement to confirm the abductions as of the time of filing this report.
