Unknown gunmen have beheaded one Chris Kpatuma, a retired policeman in Ages, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
It was learnt that the incident occurred on Tuesday, while the victim popularly known as Hipis was working on his farm.
The assailants were said to have brought back the body of Kpatuma to the community, causing panic among residents.
Traditional ruler of the community, Eze Blaise Ubah said that the matter has been reported to the police.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mike Abattam confirmed the incident, noting that an investigation was underway.
