The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has stated that it is on the lookout for one suspect and urged the public to volunteer information.

“We are working closely with our state and local partners and will provide additional updates when available,” the bureau said.

Investigators revealed that Judge Salas received threats before the attack but these were considered routine due to her position as a Federal Judge.

There is however worry that the attack may concerned with the work of her husband as a criminal defense lawyer.

Esther Salas is the first Hispanic Federal Judge to serve on the bench in New Jersey.
