Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has urged Igbo people across the nation to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Kaduna, Borno and other states where gubernatorial elections will hold this Saturday, March 18.
Kalu made the appeal in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday, March 14.
Kalu, who is the senator-elect for Abia North, said by voting for the APC candidates in their places of residence, Igbos have an opportunity to promote, move forward and positively influence the places they reside.
The Herald can report that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Senator Uba Sani and Prof. Babagana Zulum are the candidates of the APC in Lagos, Kaduna and Borno respectively.

While Sanwo-Olu and Zulum are seeking re-election, Sani is seeking to succeed Governor Nasir el-Rufai.
“As the day for the gubernatorial election draw closer, it is important our people align with competence and performance and support people oriented candidates across the country.
“The candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Kaduna, Borno and others deserve maximum support of the Igbos. I urge all our people in these states to cast all their votes for the candidates of the APC.
“When you vote for the APC, you have an opportunity to promote, move forward and positively influence the places where you reside,” Kalu said.
