Akwa Ibom Consolidation Initiative, a socio political group has applauded the emergence Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Primary Election in Akwa Ibom.
The group’s coordinator, Mr. Udoh Ekwere, in a press statement issued in Lagos said “we believe that the choice of Udom Emmanuel by the Akwa Ibom PDP delegates is indeed in line with the wishes of the people. Emmanuel is a technocrat and we believe that he is capable of continuing the good work of our out-going governor.”
Ekwere also appealed to other aspirants to work with Emmanuel so as to ensure the party’s success at the polls next year.
Emmanuel who is the secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government polled 1,201 votes at the primary election.
