Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann will complete a switch to Barcelona after the 2018 World Cup in Russia, according to reports in Spain.
The Catalan giants have been trying to add more firepower to their squad since Neymar’s world-record switch to Paris Saint Germain in the summer.
The club has already landed Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund and Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, but remain unsatisfied as their main forward players – Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta are already over 30.
It is believed that signing the 26-year-old Griezmann’s will be a longterm cover for the aging stars.
Also, the French forward’s €200 million buyout clause drops by half on July 1.
“The Atletico Madrid forward has agreed to join Barcelona and will be under (coach) Ernesto Valverde’s orders next season,” Spanish paper Sport reported on Saturday.
