Nigerians have called on police authorities to probe the alleged extrajudicial killing of a man at the Sango Police Station in Ogun State.
A video of the unidentified man writhing in a pool of his own blood had circulated on social media on Wednesday.
Oluyemi Fasipe, an activist and social media influencer, shared the video.
According to him, the man was shot and watched to die “because he broke some vehicles”.
A policeman can be seen brandishing an axe believed to have been used to perpetrate the act.
However, Fasipe, who said he was contacted by the victim’s brother on Tuesday, gave no further explanations about the incident that led to the shooting.
“I am calling on the Complaint Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force to investigate this extrajudicial killing,” he said.

Some other Nigerians also lent their voices to demand a probe into the killing.
He wants to talk to his father before he dies and they couldn't even get him some help, this is appalling. A fucking human being ffs 😫😓
Nigeria is a failed state 😔

I was saying it about 3days ago this happened, so because this young man destroyed cars, they shot him and watched him bleed to death? Cars over life? Nigeria how did we get here ? @PoliceNG cars can be replaced but you can’t replace life. Bring those responsible to justice.

This is so barbaric! We need an agency that'll be a watchdog to the police, else this barbaric and extrajudicial killings will continue. #RevolutionIsNow

This is so sad. How did we get to this point that we no longer value human lives? Material things over human lives and animals (cattle) over human lives? Something is fundamentally wrong with Nigeria and Nigerians.

Now that they have killed him, what happens to their cars? How does killing him fix their cars? @segalink @RuggedyBaba @citizen_gavel

This is pure evil, there are a thousand other ways to disarm him from what we have observed from the video thus far.Theres no way he carried out that action in his right senses, so this may be a result of mental illness or being under the influence. This should be investigated
