Governor’s aide advises men against marrying women drinking beer in public

2 Min Read

The Special Assistant on Strategic Communication to Governor of Cross River, Andrea Ekeng Inyang, has advised men against marrying women that drink beer in public.

He said this in a Facebook post on Monday.

“Don’t marry any woman that sits in public to drink Gulder beer. You won’t find peace in that marriage,” Inyang wrote.

Marriage is an idea on which many Nigerians frequently share their opinions.

In September, Faith Oyedepo, the wife of the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, advised women to dress smart and not like a “grandma” when looking for a husband.

“Ladies, don’t dress like a grandmother when you’re believing God for a spouse. Don’t you see, open and shine your eyes. Because if you look like a grandmother now by the time you get married what will happen,” she said in a video which went viral on social media.

She also advised the men to dress smart.

“Men, groom your hair and trim your beards so the ladies will see your face. Don’t let your beards cover your eyes, we want to see you. Don’t dress in your shirt flying around and then walk around in slippers.

“If you look like a grandfather when you’re still single, how will look at 70? So be neat, simple, and smart,” she said.
