Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has written the Ghanaian parliament over the unsolved murder of a Nigerian who was studying in Ghana.
Godwin Ayogu, a 300 level student attending Gold Coast University was dumped by the roadside after being murdered by unknown assailants.
Speaking at Ikeja to a group of students protesting a hike in tuition at LASU, Fashola said, “The killing of a Nigerian in Ghana is very unfortunate as he was a victim of very mindless violence.
“I am trying to reach the Ghanaian Parliament to see how we can intervene to assist in the investigation of Godwin Ayogu’s incident, who died at the Cape Coast University.
“I sent an email to one of the parliamentarians. I am still expecting a feed back and hope the right steps will be taken.
The Governor also condemned the killing of another student, Adelabu Tunde in Malaysia.
