Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of Chairman and Members of Board for Kano State Radio Corporation.
The new chairman of the board is Malam Ibrahim Ahmed Karaye.
This is contained in a statement signed by the state Commissioner of Information, Malam Mohammed Garba, and made available to newsmen in Kano on Sunday.
According to Garba, the appointment was in line with the provision of the law establishing the Corporation, as amended.
He said that the appointment was also based on the members’ proven integrity, competence, credibility and track record of professionalism.
Other members of the board include: Hajiya Maryam Babayaro; Abdulkadir Ahmed-Kwakwatawa; Gambo Ahmed-Mustapha; Sammani Sharif; Sale Jili and representative of the Ministry of Information, while the Managing Director of the Corporation, Hajiya Saadatu Babaji, will serve as Member/Secretary. (NAN)
