The Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Groups (COSEG) have in a statement come out to join the legions that are against the new pricing policy for petroleum products.
The statement which was issued on Thursday, May 12, 2016, signed by Ifedayo Ogunlana and Rasaq Olokooba, chairman and secretary respectively decried the new pricing policy and calling it insensitive and callous especially as Nigerians are already having a hard time with the difficult economic situation.
The COSEG spoke against the “dubious policy and will therefore, mobilise the people to come out en-masse to show their grievances against the policy.”
According to COSEG, “When Buhari was elected, the Nigerian people thought his government would proffer solutions to their problems. But with this new policy of indirectly hiking fuel pump price and indirectly fixing the price at N145, we know we have goofed.”
