Good news for Arsenal fans, Theo Walcott is back

2 Min Read

Arsene Wenger had earlier hinted that Theo Walcott’s come back ‘is not too far away’. Sooner than speculated, the winger will be back on the pitch.
He’s likely to be named as a substitute in Arsenal’s clash against Hull City on Saturday, reports claimed.

England International Theo Walcott was put out of play for approximately 9 months by a cruciate knee ligament injury he got in Arsenal’s FA cup match against Tottenham in January.

Fans feared he will be out for the full season, but he was positive to recovering and delighted as he shared the good news of his return to training to fans on his Twitter page.

“First full training session after 9 months – feeling good,” he wrote.

Wenger also confirms, striker Olivier Giroud who broke his tibia in an away match with Everton in August, is “recovering very well”.

“I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly,” the Arsenal boss told French television channel beIN Sports.

“Welbeck and him can play together in the centre or separately. Welbeck also played on one side to Manchester United. Welbeck played in the same team with Rooney and Van Persie. He can play down the sides.”
