Yesterday, the 31st of July 2016, a ghastly motor accident occurred at Kilometre 15, Quarry Area, along Ibadan-Lagos Expressway killing 6 people and injuring as many as 21 others.
The information was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr. Tunji Onijala who stated that the accident involved 3 vehicles; two Mazda buses with registration numbers EKY 59 XR, AME 384 XA; and one Mercedes-Benz Jeep with registration number EKY 111 BL.
A total of 27 people were affected.
The injured have been taken to Ibadan Central Hospital, Ososami where they are receiving treatment.
According to Daily Times, an eyewitness reported that the cars were heading to Lagos state. The witness also reported that the cars were severely damaged while the bodies of those inside were in terrible shape after the accident.
