A 38-year-old man, Afeez Gbadamosi, has been arraigned before the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court by the Lagos State Government for sexually molesting his two underage sons.
The father of the underage boys is facing four counts of sexual assault and indecent behaviour levelled against him by the state.
According to the state prosecuting counsel, Abimbola Abolade, the molestation took place at the Iyanamuda area of Agric in Ikorodu, Lagos State, sometime between 2021 and 2022.
She further told Justice Abiola Sholadoye that the defendant sexually assaulted the boys by inserting his finger into their anus and indecently touching their genitals.
She also revealed that their father pressed their buttocks and also made them watch him while he was having sexual intercourse with his wife.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened Sections 261 and 264 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
Gbadamosi, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
The defendant’s counsel, O.O Oladipupo, therefore urged the court to grant her client bail in liberal terms.
But Justice Sholadoye, who adjourned the case till November 20, 2023, for trial, ordered that the defendant be remanded at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre pending when he can perfect his bail conditions.
