Immediate-past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has said that President Muhammadu Buhari confirmed himself as the “grandfather of corruption” by appearing alongside Kano Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential campaign rally on Thursday.
Fayose, who is the Southwest Coordinator of the Atiku/Obi PDP Presidential Campaign Council, said this in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle.
Videos published late last year allegedly showed Ganduje collecting bribe in dollars from contractors in the state.
The Kano State Government has since dismissed the videos as “doctored”.
President Buhari’s campaign rally in Kano attracted many dignitaries, including governors from Niger Republic, and a mammoth crowd.
But reacting to the rally, Fayose said, “The grandfather of Corruption Family of Nigeria went to Kano today in continuation to celebrate the exploits of one of his children.
“Siblings of the Kano child in whom Baba Corruption is well pleased also came from neighbouring country to join in the celebration of corruption.”
