The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reiterated that videos purportedly showing him collecting bribes in dollars back in 2018 were cloned.
He also vowed to punish those behind the alleged cloning and circulation of the videos.
Recall that an online newspaper, Daily Nigerian published a series of videos supposedly showing Ganduje collecting bribes from contractors in the state.
The publication of the videos subjected the Kano governor to ridicule, with many critics derisively tagging him “Gandollar” and demanding further investigation by federal anti-corruption agencies.
But speaking with BBC Hausa on Friday, Ganduje said, “We will deal with those behind the fake videos aimed at tarnishing my image.

“It is a lie and nothing of that nature ever happened. It was just a set up plan to stop me from contesting election and I have contested, they wanted to stop me from winning election and I have won. But that is not the big issue, the big one is we will deal with them.
