Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has alerted her fans to a scammer using her identity to solicit funds. She shared a screenshot of the scammer’s WhatsApp chat, where they asked a victim for N200,000, promising to repay it the next day.
Funke Akindele warned her fans to be cautious of such scams and advised them not to fall for the fraudulent scheme. She wrote, “Pls beware!!! This is not from me!! Prosper!!! E no go prosper for you o!!! Ole!!!”
The actress’s warning serves as a reminder to be vigilant and verify the authenticity of requests for financial assistance, especially when they come from unknown sources. Fans and followers are advised to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
