The funeral service for veteran Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu, is scheduled to take place today at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos. The service will be followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
Onwenu, popularly known as the “Elegant Stallion,” passed away on July 30 at Reddington Hospital, Ikeja, after performing at a birthday party. The family has announced a Service of Songs from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by the burial from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Onyeka Onwenu was a renowned singer, songwriter, and actress who made significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry. Her legacy will be remembered and celebrated through her timeless music and the impact she had on her fans.
The funeral service is expected to be attended by friends, family, and colleagues in the entertainment industry, who will gather to pay their respects to the legendary singer.
