FULL GIST: FULAFIA lecturer, family brutalise, strip, kidnap girl, 20, for fighting daughter

2 Min Read

A lecturer at the Federal University Lafia (FULAFIA), Dr. Fred Ekpe Ayokhai, is in the eye of the storm for orchestrating the brutalisation and kidnapping of a 20-year-old girl, Blessing Mathias.

The Senior Lecturer with the Department of History and International Studies was said to have taken the action to avenge his daughter, Emmanuella Onawegie, whom Blessing reportedly fought over a man.

It was gathered that Ayokhai and other members of his family joined hands to flog Blessing before forcefully taking her to a bush where she was stripped and then abandoned.

Videos circulating online show the girl being subjected to severe beating with sticks, belts, and other objects.

The videos also show Blessing being stripped with scissors by the lecturer himself inside a bush.

Reports say that Blessing had confronted Emmanuella for having the phone number of her (Blessing’s) boyfriend on her phone and chatting with him.

She ordered Emmnanuella to delete the phone number of her boyfriend simply identified as IG but she refused.

This led to a disagreement which culminated into a fight, it was learnt.

On Friday, Dr Ayokhai and family reportedly stormed Blessing’s apartment to confront her over the fight with his daughter.

The videos show the team beating the victim with sticks, belts, planks, and other objects while ordering her to lie on the ground.

She was thereafter driven to an unknown bush where she was stripped.

Many social media users have called on the police to arrest the lecturer and others involved in the incident.
