The FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Mr Olusegun Ogungbemide disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, released by Mrs Olabisi Sonusi, the command’s Public Education Officer.

Ogungbemide said that the command had concluded preparations to commence the 2020 Eid-el-Kabir festival’s special patrol operations throughout the state.

He said that aside the men and vehicles, other essential working tools would also be deployed.

“The operation, which will run from Wednesday 29th July to Saturday 8th August 2020, will make visible the presence of FRSC operatives along the major critical corridors in the state.

“This will cover the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Lekki-Epe Expressway among other major routes, to ensure crash-free celebrations,” Ogungbemide said.

He enjoined motorists across the state to ensure total compliance with orders and directives on physical distancing and compulsory use of face mask.

According to him, motorists should engage the corps through the Toll-Free number 122 in case of emergency at any point in time.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday as public holidays for celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir.
