FRSC tasks Decorated Personnel on Service Delivery

FRSC redeploys senior officers, others in massive shakeup

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has tasked its newly promoted officers and marshals to focus on improving service delivery to Nigerians.

A total of 30 officers and 31 marshals, drawn from the Zonal Command and Sector Command in Enugu, were decorated with their new ranks on Wednesday.

The FRSC Zonal Commander, Mr Osas Osadebamwen, made the call during the decoration of newly promoted officers and marshals of the State Sector Commands.

Osadebamwen, who is in-charge of FRSC Zone 9, which included; Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, appreciated the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, and the FRSC management team for approving the promotion.

He also congratulate the newly decorated for their commitment to duty, ideals and vision of the corps, which earned them the recent promotion.

“Since  I joined the corps, I have not seen such a large number of personnel being promoted in a single time, I must commend the Corps Marshal for making this remarkable feat possible.

“For the decorated officers and marshals, I want you to keep the flag flying and ensure you work harder to continue to rise in your chosen career in the corps,’’ he noted.

The FRSC Sector Command, Enugu state, Mr Kalu Ogbonnaya, also confirmed that it was the first time a large number of officers and marshals would be promoted and decorated in his command.

Ogbonnaya called on the newly decorated personnel to keep up the good work they had been doing, saying that “Reward for hard work is more work’’.

“I must continue to appreciate the corps marshal for his fatherly disposition to the welfare of all our personnel as well as recent promotion of good number of the personnel.

“I sincerely believe that this promotion and decoration will further boost the morale of the personnel leading to better service delivery in terms of road crash reduction in the state and Nigeria in general,’’ he said.

Mrs Esther Odunze, a newly promoted Assistant Corps Commander, while responding on behalf of the newly decorated personnel, thanked the corps marshal and FRSC management for the promotion.

“We pledge our loyalty to the corps and we will continue to put in our best to our assigned duties,’’ Odunze said.
