The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Taraba on Thursday, urged road users in the state to strictly observe COVID-19 road safety guidelines as they celebrate Sallah.

Assistant Route Commander, Mr Paul Okoduwa, FRSC Sector Public Education Officer in Taraba, said this at a media briefing in Jalingo.
Okoduwa said the command had deployed enough personnel to various strategic points across the state to enforce compliance with COVID- 19 guidelines among road users during the festivity.
“The FRSC will also ensure that the general road traffic rules are obeyed during the celebration.
“The COVID-19 guidelines of social distancing in the vehicle, wearing of face mask, use of hands sanitiser must be adhered to even during the festivity, so as to ensure safety of the public,” he said.
Okoduwa noted that the state Sector commander, Corps Commander, Frank Okwueze had earlier initiated a daily morning public enlightenment session know as ‘safety cry’ where personnel visits motor parks to educate them.
He urged the public to always call the national toll free emergency safety line 112 in case of any violation to the guidelines by motorists or accident.
