Mr Henry Benamaisia on Saturday assumed office as the new sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Edo Sector Command.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Benamaisia took over from Mr Anthony Oko now redeployed to Plateau State Sector Command.
In his remarks, Benamaisia said that his target in Edo was to ensure a safe motoring environment.

According to him, my aim is to reduce road traffic crashes to the barest minimum.
Besides, he said that he would also maintain a robust public education on safety, traffic law enforcement as well as collaborating with sister agencies to achieve the corps mandate.
NAN reports that until his deployment to Edo, the new Sector Commander was Head, Department of Policy, Research and statistics at the corps headquarters in Abuja.
He was deployed to Benin on Dec. 6.
