Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Saturday urged Nigerians to document photographs as they represent history.
Oyeyemi gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on the sideline of a photography exhibition with the theme: “Political Development of Nigeria from 1960-date; the change mantra’’.
The exhibition was organised by the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture in collaboration with the National Gallery of Arts.
The corps marshall said: “There are times when you might not have any record to show past activities, but pictures will still count.
“Pictures educate the younger ones; this exhibition is historical and educative.
“From the pictorial evidence at the exhibition, we saw people, who at one point or the order were stakeholders in the governance of Nigeria from the early stage of democracy.
“We saw pictures of people from the civilian regime during the era of regional governance to nine states and even up to the present day. It is awesome,’’ Oyeyemi stressed.
