No fewer than four persons have been murdered in a robbery attack at Polaris and First banks in Ondo state.
The robbery which took place in Ile-Oluji local government area of the state left two security guards and two customers killed.
The bandits who came prepared for the operations carried dynamite which they used in breaking the bank security doors.
Eyewitnesses said the bandits were about 20 in number. They fired several shots in the air to scare off passersby who ran for safety.
However, some courageous local hunters later came to interrupt the robbers and engaged the robbers in a fierce gun battle.
This sudden turn of events caused a disruption in the plans of the robbers who did not envisage such scenario. While some ran into a nearby bush for their lives, others escaped in the vehicle they came with.
According to reports, no fewer than 10 people sustained injuries.
There are also reports that the robbers acted on inside-information.

This is coming weeks after police officers foiled another First bank robbery in the nation’s federal capital.
