Over the weekend in Ogun state 19 people were injured in auto crashes, whilst Four persons reportedly died in two separate auto accidents that occurred on Friday night and Saturday morning.
In the first accident, a Toyota Corolla, with 12 passengers, was reported to have plunged into the Ososa River, while heading to Ijebu Ode.
Traffic report indicated that the car was carrying one male, four females and seven children.
Ten of them were however rescued while two others, one male adult and a little girl died.
He said loss of control due to excessive speed was the cause of the accident.
The second auto crash was said to have occurred at the Fidiwo axis along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when two Toyota Sienna vehicles rammed into each other.
The vehicles were said to be travelling in opposite directions when the incident occurred at a section of the road where traffic had been diverted to a single lane due to ongoing construction work.
The silver Toyota Sienna with number plate LSD 226 CK, travelling from Ibadan, was said to have suffered a brake failure and the driver rammed it into the oncoming blue one with number plate AGL 554 EA.
Two female passengers in the Sienna were said to have died, while two others were injured.
