The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four armed suspected herdsmen in the state.
The four men were nabbed by a vigilante group in Agadagba Obon town in Ese Odo LGA of tre state and handed over to the police, The Punch reported, quoting the state police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph.
He said, “They have been handed over to us, and when we interrogated them, they told us that they were farmers and that they wanted to board a boat to Edo State; but we have begun investigation to ascertain their claim.
“However, there was no report the suspects had killed anybody with the arms they were carrying about.”
He named items recovered from the suspects as guns, cutlasses, daggers and axes.
