Former Governor of Oyo State, Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been laid to rest in Ibadan on Sunday morning.
The late Ajimobi died on June 25 of COVID-19 complications after contracting the virus two weeks earlier.

He was laid to rest at his residence on 6th Avenue Yemoja Street, Oluyole, in accordance with Muslim Burial rites and tradition. Only a few Members of the family were in attendance.
Until his death he was the deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was the Governor of Oyo State from 2011 to 2019.
He was 70 when he died.
