Nasarawa Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-makura has called on all Nigerians to forget about the break up of the country, and instead be patriots.
Al-makura made the statement whilst reacting to posers from journalists as he concluded the inspection of some education projects in Lafia.
Tribune reports Al-makura who was responding to reactions trailing the president’s speech said the president was in order when he declared that Nigeria cannot be divided.
He explained that, Nigerians have lived together for 103 years and cannot consider division as solutions for its problems.
“Every Nigerian who is patriotic and who want a better life for Nigeria should take Mr President’s speech serious and work towards enhancing the unity of the country”, the governor said.
He, however, urged all Nigerians to pray for the president and eschew all forms of hate speech.
