A correspondent of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in Nigeria, Stephanie Hegarty, has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari for locking down Lagos on his two-day official visit to the state.
In a tweet via her verified Twitter handle on Friday, the journalist compared the manner of the president’s visit to that of his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, who was spotted travelling economy class unobtrusively.
She tweeted:

Recall that Buhari was in Lagos on Thursday and Friday, during which he attended the 10th Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Colloquium, commissioned the Ikeja Bus Terminus and visited the Eko Atlantic project.
Some major roads and economic hubs in the state , including the ever-busy Computer Village, were locked down during the president’s visit.
